Welcome to my home away from my Michigan home. Among the pages here you will find topics of interest to me as well as some information on the business I own, Rivers Consulting Inc.

I have uploaded some pictures that I have taken from some of my "recent" vacations. I hope you enjoy them. Please select the Photo Galleries tab at the top.

On the Genealogy tab, you will find my family history information that I have collected so far. Those pages start with my great-great-grandparents and list their ancestors back as far as I have been able to research. The data contained within those pages represent work that I have done in my spare time since taking over the family history research from my sister back in 1999. I still have much work to do, but I have made some really great progress so far. Those pages were created using the genealogy software program RootsMagic. I'm still working out the "tweaks" to have it blend in more with the layout of the rest of this site. I would also like to eventually have it work in the opposite direction, starting with the "oldest" ancestor and working down to the "younger" ancestors - without placing any information on the web about currently living individuals (to protect their identities from the would-be identity thieves).

I do have an online blog as well. A blog is kind of like an "online diary" of sorts. The postings in it are visible for the entire world to see. Because of that, I usually don't post really personal stuff, but there is quite a bit of me in it. :)

I also have recently opened some social networking pages on Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter.
